Wire Rope Clips (DIN 741)
Wire rope clips — also called U-bolt clips or fist grips — clamp two parts of a wire rope together to form an eye, loop or termination. They are the fastest way to make a field repair or a temporary eye without splicing, and are widely used on guy wires, lifting slings and guard rail systems.

How many wire rope clips does a termination need?
As a general rule, a wire rope eye termination requires at least three clips, with more for larger diameters — spacing them approximately 6-7 rope diameters apart, saddles on the live end (“never saddle a dead horse”). Follow the standard or your engineer’s instruction for your rope size.
