Structural Bolts (High Strength Friction Grip)

High strength structural bolts are used in steel-to-steel connections where the joint must resist shear and slip. They are tensioned to a specified preload so the friction between the plates carries the load — the bolt itself is not in shear. Supplied complete with the matching nut and two hardened washers, and torqued with a calibrated wrench or TC bolt gun.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an HSFG (high strength friction grip) bolt?

HSFG bolts are preloaded to a controlled tension so that load transfers between the connected plies by friction, not bolt shear. This gives a stiff, slip-resistant connection required in bridges, steel structures and vibration-heavy construction.

What sizes are available?

Available sizes range from M16 – M30 (5/8" – 1-1/4"). Contact us with your required sizes and quantities for a quick quote.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

The MOQ is 500 pcs (standard), 2,000 pcs (custom). Lead time is 7-15 days (standard), 20-30 days (custom). Mixed-size containers and larger orders are negotiable — send us your requirement for a quick quote.

Do you provide material certificates?

Yes. Material test certificates per EN 10204 3.1 are available on request, and our manufacturing is ISO 9001:2015 certified. RoHS and REACH compliance documentation can also be provided.
