Frequently Asked Questions
What do nut property grades 8 and 10 mean?
The grade number indicates the nut’s proof load capability matched to the corresponding bolt grade: a Grade 8 nut pairs with 8.8 bolts, and Grade 10 with 10.9 bolts. Always match the nut grade to (or above) the bolt grade to achieve the full joint strength.
