Round Head Solid Rivets – Stainless Steel

These stainless steel round head solid rivets provide a permanent, high-strength fastening for metalwork. The rounded head sits proud of the surface and the shank is peened over on the reverse side to lock the joint — a classic, durable fixing that resists vibration and tampering.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do solid rivets work?

The rivet is inserted through aligned holes and the protruding shank end is hammered or pressed (peened) so it spreads and forms a second head. This cold-formed upset locks the joint permanently — it cannot loosen from vibration and cannot be removed without drilling.

What is the difference between solid rivets and blind rivets?

Solid rivets are stronger and permanent but need access to both sides of the joint for peening. Blind (pop) rivets install from one side only, which is faster, but have lower strength. Choose solid rivets for maximum joint strength and tamper resistance.

How do I choose the right rivet length?

The shank must pass through the full stack thickness and leave enough protruding material to form the upset head — typically about 1 to 1.5 times the rivet diameter. Tell us your total grip thickness and we will confirm the correct length.

Do you provide material certificates?

Yes. Material test certificates per EN 10204 3.1 are available on request, and our manufacturing is ISO 9001:2015 certified. RoHS and REACH compliance documentation can also be provided.
