Hot Dip Galvanized Square Washers (DIN 434)

These hot-dip galvanized square washers are made to DIN 434 with a square profile that provides a much larger bearing area than a round washer. The square shape also resists rotation when tightened and grips timber without crushing the grain. The hot-dip galvanized coating gives long-term corrosion protection for outdoor and structural use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a square washer instead of a round washer?

A square washer (DIN 434) has a much larger bearing area than a round washer of the same bolt size. It spreads the clamp load over more wood fiber, prevents the bolt head or nut from digging into timber, and the square shape resists rotation during tightening.

Why hot dip galvanized?

Hot-dip galvanizing deposits a thick zinc coating (typically 45-85 μm) that provides long-term corrosion protection — far more durable than electro-zinc plating for outdoor, humid or coastal structural applications.

What hole sizes are available?

We stock DIN 434 square washers for bolt sizes M8 through M24, with thicknesses from 2 mm to 6 mm. Other sizes can be produced on request.

Do you provide material certificates?

Yes. Material test certificates per EN 10204 3.1 are available on request, and our manufacturing is ISO 9001:2015 certified. RoHS and REACH compliance documentation can also be provided.
