Spring Lock Washers (DIN 127) – 304 (A2) Stainless Steel
Our 304 (A2) stainless steel spring lock washers are manufactured to DIN 127 / GB 93. The split-ring design compresses under load and bites into the mating surfaces, providing a spring force that resists loosening caused by vibration. Stainless steel construction makes them suitable for corrosive environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a spring lock washer work?
A split (helical) spring washer acts like a compressed spring: as the nut is tightened, the washer is squeezed and its cut ends bite into both the nut/bolt head and the mating surface. This spring force and edge grip resist rotational loosening from vibration.
When should I use a lock washer instead of a lock nut?
Lock washers suit general vibration resistance under a standard nut and are inexpensive. For stronger or reusable anti-loosening, nylon insert lock nuts (DIN 985) usually perform better — in critical joints both can be combined.
Why choose stainless steel lock washers?
A2 (304) stainless steel will not rust in damp, outdoor or marine environments, and avoids zinc-plating flakes or corrosion products contaminating the joint. It also matches stainless fasteners, avoiding galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals.
Do you provide material certificates?
Yes. Material test certificates per EN 10204 3.1 are available on request, and our manufacturing is ISO 9001:2015 certified. RoHS and REACH compliance documentation can also be provided.
